INCA has appointed Dale Miller and Scott Williams to its Board of Directors. Selected to serve on the Advisory Committee to the Board were Lisa Pierce and Sandy Glover, joining Mike Root in that capacity. Perry Cole is serving as the co-chair of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Seattle Section, Water Resources and Environmental Committee. This is Perry's third year as co-chair. Perry's responsibilities include scheduling speakers for monthly brown bag seminars, preparing seminar write-ups for the newsletter, acting as liaison to the board of directors, and promoting the technical tour. This rigorous certification examination is governed by the Project Management Institute (PMI), and focuses on project management best practice methodologies and nine project management knowledge areas, and professional codes of conduct including: integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communication, risk, and procurment. INCA's Traffic Manager Dave Alm, is serving as President of the Washington Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE). Dave’s experience and expertise in the transportation industry has led to his selection for this position. ITE is an international educational and scientific association of transportation professionals who are responsible for meeting mobility and safety needs. INCA’s Structural Group Lead, Dale Miller, PE/SE, returned from a recent trip to Germany where he joined other members of WG29, including those from the nations of Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, France, Spain, Finland, United Kingdom, Brazil, Panama, Russia, United States, and China. Dale is serving as vice-chairman of the WG29 committee formed to discuss new innovations in lock and dam design.
